Ibañez drawing Real Madrid interest

After bidding farewell to Sergio Ramos, Roger Ibañez is one of the names that Real Madrid have their eyes on.

The Spanish giants are anxious to acquire a defensive reinforcement following the departure of their 36 year-old captain. Ibañez, 22, has caught the attention of the Spaniards due to his performances over the past year in the Italian capital.

According to Spanish outlet AS, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti likes the Brazilian defender as he looks to add a bit of youth to his team’s backline.

Reportedly, Los Blancos may utilise their good relations with Roma to fend off any potential competition for the player’s signature.

The Giallorossi are asking at least €25 million for the ex-Atalanta man, who joined the club in January 2020.
