Ibañez lauds Roma’s preparation after 3-1 hammering of Hellas Verona

Roma defender Roger Ibañez praised his team’s preparation after their 3-1 victory against Hellas Verona this evening at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Giallorossi scored three goals within nine minutes in the first half and jumped out to 3-0 lead at the break. The capital side saw out their result in the second half and now sit third in the Serie A table.

“It was a tough game, but we managed to do well after we had a really good week of preparation,” the young defender said to Roma TV.

”We studied this hard week to try and understand how Verona attempts to create and exploit space. We did well in the first half then managed the result in the second.”

The victory gives the Giallorossi a boost as they now face the daunting task of traveling to Turin to face Juventus on Saturday evening — a game that the Brazilian is looking forward to.

”It’ll be a nice challenge but a difficult one. We have to work well again this week and I think we will do well.”
