Ibañez returns, trains with the group

Roma boss Paulo Fonseca received a big boost just two days before his team’s Europa League match against Shakhtar Donetsk.

First choice central defender, Roger Ibañez, returned to full training with his teammates today for the first time in three weeks. The Brazilian has been out injured since the 18th of February after he suffered a muscle strain against Braga.

It’s unlikely that Fonseca will risk Ibañez in Thursday’s affair, however, all signs point to a return on Sunday versus Parma.

Meanwhile, striker Edin Dzeko and midfielder Jordan Veretout continued to train individually. The pair are recovering from respective thigh strains with the Bosnian much closer to a return.
