Ibañez to start from the bench against Spezia

Ibanez of AS Roma

With Oliveira and Felix out for tonight’s fixture, Jose Mourinho was able to recover the likes of Zaniolo and Roger Ibañez, who has been out since Roma’s defeat at the San Siro on February 8th due to a collateral ligament elongation to the left knee.

The prognosis was 4-5 weeks out of action. However, the Brazilian defender travelled to La Spezia with the rest of the team yesterday.

According to Corriere della Sera, it is highly unlikely that we will see the 23-year-old on the pitch tonight. Ibañez will probably start from the bench, if not the stands, with Salvatore Foti replacing Mourinho on the sidelines.

This will be Foti’s first time out leading the team following his appointment after the winter break.
