Nicolò Zaniolo has been the surprise of the season for Roma. In an interview yesterday, Roma sporting director, Ramon Monchi, expressed that the young midfielder could be the first name with whom the club discusses a contract renewal with. Igor Zaniolo, the father of the player, spoke to Il Corriere dello Sport about his son and his situation. These are his words:
“A new contract? I know this is being discussed, but it’s the last thing on Nicolo’s mind. Nicolò has switched agents but we haven’t made any requests. I hope that he’ll have a long journey in Rome and remains as long as possible, even with his current contract. Nicolò is fine, he is grateful and has never asked for the renewal”.
