Il Tempo: Paredes could still be sold

John Solano

Il Tempo journalist Alessandro Austini has reported today that despite Roma’s current refusal of approaches for Leandro Paredes, the player could still be sold

The Giallorossi have decided to confirm Paredes for now then sell him by the end of the transfer market. The Argentine will stay in the roster for the first three official matches of the season against Porto (twice) and Udinese, but in the meantime, a new destination for the player will try to be found.

The difficult decision reached its height during repeated meetings between Sabatini and Spalletti: while showing a physical growth and a boost in his personality, Paredes has not fully convinced in a technical or a tactical aspect. Furthermore, since he could garner nearly €20 million on the transfer marke, it is better to sacrifice a talent who hasn’t filled convinced while making a capital gain on the market then reinvesting the money.

Roma hope to start an auction for the player as Juve, Milan, Liverpool, City, and Zenit are all interested in the player.
