Il Tempo: Totti, Roma agree to extension

The long awaited update has finally been confirmed; Totti will play at Roma for another season, which will likely be the last of his career.

According to Il Tempo journalist Alessandro Austini, the final agreement was reached yesterday’s between Totto and Roma during a meeting between Roma’s Mauro Baldissoni and the captain’s accountant Adolfo Leonardi. The player contract will be extended until 30 June 2017, with net salary fixed at €1 million plus a series of bonuses that will be added depending on the performance of Totti.

Then, Totti’s contract as a director at the club will begin, which will be worth €600,000 for six years. Totti’s image rights will be split with the club and were the final piece of the puzzle to be resolved. All that is missing is the final approval of Pallotta. Reportedly, the president will be in Rome in a couple of weeks: which is when Totti’s renewal will be announced.
