Inter director Beppe Marotta did not shy away from commenting on Romelu Lukaku’s surprise move to Roma.
The Italian executive spoke about Lukaku’s switch in an interview to Sky Sport following today’s UCL draw.
Inter had been in the race for Romelu Lukaku’s return but talks broke down once the Belgian striker withdrew from negotiations.
“I didn’t imagine him going to Roma, I can tell you that much,” said Marotta. “But this is football and football is a circus. It’s normal that certain situations fade away, while others emerge.”
“From a competitive point of view, his arrival at Roma makes Serie A more interesting,” concluded Marotta.
