Inter executive Beppe Marotta sounded once more bitter when discussing Romelu Lukaku’s decision to not return to the Nerazzurri.
Ahead of Lukaku’s highly anticipated appearance at the San Siro with Roma in a week’s time, Marotta said in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, “Lukaku is the past for us. There’s not a single member of our club’s management who’s still thinking about him.”
“I repeat, not a single one,” he added. “Obviously, as a man working in the world of football I should expect these things. It’s not the first time that it has happened to me.”
