Gonzalo Villar is reportedly one step away from departing the Italian capital.
The Spanish midfielder, with a contract at the capital club valid until 2024, has seen little action under Jose Mourinho and is heavily linked with an exit from the Giallorossi already in January.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Simone Inzaghi’s Inter have emerged as potential suitors. The Nerazzurri are in search of a back-up to Marcelo Brozovic and consider Villar a good option off the bench.
First, however, Inter must off-load the likes of Stefano Sensi and Mateo Vecino – who has been offered to Roma – before signing anybody.
