Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti weighed in on Daniele De Rossi taking over managerial duties from Jose Mourinho who remains close friends with the Argentine Nerazzurri legend.
“I talked to Mourinho recently, he’s much calmer now, he’s doing well,” Zanetti told DAZN. “De Rossi is doing a great job at Roma.”
“I was sorry because I know how much José cares about his teams, he didn’t expect to be sent away like this but he is part of football,” he added.
“Lukaku? No one disputes Lukaku’s skill, he did well for us. His choice not to return was unexpected, we probably would have made different choices. But in the end it was also a challenge for us to have to find new solutions.”
