Inter executive Piero Ausilio attacks Lukaku: “He lacked respect.”

Inter executive Piero Ausilio once again commented on Romelu Lukaku’s controversial withdrawal from talks with the Nerazzurri.

Following Inter’s 1-0 win over Jose Mourinho’s Roma on Sunday, Ausilio crticized Lukaku’s decision on Radio Tv Serie A.

“Lukaku is part of the past. We won a wonderful league title together, we experienced wonderful things together over the years,” said the Italian director.

“How did the phone call with him go? I prefer not to talk about it but I’m just saying that there must always be education and respect. And there was a lack of education and respect on his part.”

“When a player doesn’t pick up the phone when we call him then you immediately know it’s time to move on. Lukaku’s chapter with us has been closed since July 8th, I remember the date perfectly. The phone call with him was short and decisive after several attempts to call him earlier on.”
