RomaPress – It’s not a secret that Roma are doing all they can to rid themselves this summer of midfielder Javier Pastore. The former PSG man currently earns over €4 million (net) per season and is one of the highest paid players on the Giallorossi.
The Argentine has been hampered by injuries ever since joining the club in the summer of 2018 when he put pen to paper on a five-year contract. Pastore has been limited to only 30 appearances with Roma and has suffered 7 different injuries since arriving in the Italian capital.
Given his bloated wages and lack of availability, Roma are doing all they can to get Pastore off their books prior to the start of the 2020/2021 campaign. The midfielder has been adamant that he wants to see out his contract in the Eternal City and then ultimately return to his boyhood club Talleres.
However, Roma may try and force Pastore’s hand by informing him that he has no place at the club and they would prefer for him to leave. At the moment, the only concrete interest in the ex-Palermo man is coming from America in the form of Inter Miami.
David Beckham is incredibly keen on bringing his former teammate to the MLS, but they have yet to formulate an offer.
