Tonight at San Siro, the big match between Inter and Roma will take place, marking the 31st round of the season.

Hakan Calhanoglu spoke to DAZN shortly before kickoff.

The Turk spoke about the mental state of the players playing for the national team: “There’s disappointment. As a player, you always want to play in the World Cup. I feel sorry for Italy; they’re a country that deserves to be in the World Cup.”

“Now, however, we have to focus on our own path, because the teams behind us are closing in. We trained during the week, and they know they have our support. We know it’s a very, very important match, and we’ll give it our all.”

Calhanoglu concluded by commenting on the importance of this match’s outcome: “Everyone has their own vision. We’re missing a victory, and we want one for our fans too.”
