Roma’s defeat to Lazio in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals saw the Giallorossi unable to react to the Biancocelesti’s goal early on in the second half.
Mourinho’s team failed to impress in yet another must-win showdown, dropping out of a competition which the club made no secret they were aiming for.
Today’s ratings in most Italian media outlets were extremely harsh on Mourinho and his men.
The likes of Kristensen, Karsdorp, Zalewski, Spinazzola and Lukaku were deemed the worst performers of the night, as in the least effective within Mourinho’s gameplan.
The only Roma player to come out of this match with high rating to his name was the captain of the night – Gianluca Mancini – who continues to play through injury, as revealed by Mourinho, and on painkillers, leading over in over 200 appearances for the club.
Mancini was sent off in the final minutes of added time which means he will miss the first game of the next edition of the Coppa Italia.
