Italian PM Giuseppe Conte: “We need more guarantees before Serie A can restart”.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte held a press conference today at the Palazzo Chigi in Rome and discussed the future of Serie A.

Whether or not the season will resume remains a mystery as the Lega Serie A, Italian FA and the government’s scientific committee have yet to agree on the medical protocols that will be implemented.

“We continue to face a calculated risk — the infection curve could rise again,” he said.

“In order for Serie A to restart, we need some more guarantees — which we don’t have at the moment. I hope these can be achieved”.

“Caution is needed everywhere”.
