Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante continues to be involved in Italy’s training camp despite minor physical issues affecting him.
The Giallorossi vice-captain is said to be suffering from fatigue and lower back pain after a grueling start to the season which saw him feature in every single game for Mourinho’s side; Cristante has played 1080 out of 1080 minutes in Serie A thus far.
Now, Corriere della Sera reports that Italy boss Luciano Spalletti has made it a point to keep Cristante despite his uncertain condition.
The ex-Roma coach considers Cristante an “untouchable” addition to the squad and an invaluable resource for the Azzurri’s upcoming games with North Macedonia and Ukraine.
