Italy boss Roberto Mancini weighs in on Roma’s transfer window

Andy Mattioli

Italy head coach Roberto Mancini was recently asked about his league predictions with regards to Roma and Napoli. The former Man City boss also weighed in on Roma’s transfer window in a recent interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I think Roma and Napoli are on the same level,” said the Italian technician. “They’re very similar in terms of their attacking spirit and a project that has been reworked over the years.”

“Napoli have lost Koulibaly, but they have also signed some interesting players. If Raspadori were to arrive, I would be happy, because he would play in the Champions League and grow in a team with higher ambitions than Sassuolo.”

With regards to Paulo Dybala, Mancini said, “I think it’s a great signing – both on and off the pitch.”

“I like this Roma very much because it is devoted to the game and has bought players capable of fitting in, such as Matic and Wijnaldum, who bring strength and balance to the rest of the team.”
