After last night’s display against Turkey, Italy boss Roberto Mancini was asked to comment on Nicolo Zaniolo’s difficult first half.

The Roma attacker was replaced at half-time, with Lazio’s Mattia Zaccagni coming on instead.

Mancini addressed the media and said, “Nicolò is a quality player, and he must learn to play with others because with his strength he gets better when he sees the goal and scores.”

“I took him out because he was on a yellow card,” continued Mancini.

“He put in a lot of effort and I can’t criticize him, just like I can’t criticize Scamacca and Raspadori.”
