Italy Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has put more measures into place to prevent the Coronavirus from spreading further.

All commercial activities – excluding those that deal with food and pharmacies – have been suspended in the country.

Restaurants that can’t guarantee 1 meter of distance between patrons will also be ordered to cease activity.

“We’re also closing bars and pubs. Hairdressers, beauty centers and production activities will also close. We must limit travel for health or necessity reasons,” said Conte.

The move comes less than 48 hours after Conte declared that the entire country will be in quarantine following the virus’ spread throughout the country.
