Italy Minister of Sport Vincenzo Spadafora appeared on Rai 3 television program “Chi l’ha visto?” this evening and discussed what the future holds for Serie A.
Just like the rest of world football, Italy’s professional leagues remain suspended amid the Coronavirus outbreak and it’s still unclear as to when play will resume.
”I’m sorry I’ve got to announce it right now and do it here, but the forecasts that allowed us to believe we could resume in late April or early May were a bit too optimistic,” he said.
”It’s doubtful things will resume by 3 May. The federation (FIGC) will ultimately decide but I have some doubts about play being resumed”.
