Iturbe: “I was happy in Rome. If I died and resurrected, I’d return to Roma”.

Former Roma and current Pachuca attacker Juan Manuel Iturbe discussed his arrival at Verona and his time at Roma during an interview with Sky Sport earlier today.

“When they asked me to go to Verona, I immediately said ‘Yes, but I wasn’t ready,” he admitted.

“It was the best thing I did. I didn’t know the language, but everyone helped me. Now I’m married and I tell my wife that it’s a unique city. I was a happy boy at Roma. I wanted to play well and I trained a lot. We finished second and the most important thing was qualifying for the Champions League”.

“I’ve kept good relationships with everyone. If I died and resurrected, I’d return to Roma.”
