Ivan Fresneda is in the mix to potentially join Roma this summer.

After an unsuccessful spell at Sporting Lisbon, the Spanish defender is said to be on the move again in search of more playing time.

This time, Fresneda could be eyeing a move to Italy where Roma are being rumored as his first option on the market.

The Giallorossi have held talks with Fresneda’s agent who is personally pushing to make the deal happen given his excellent relations with the club.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the 19-year-old player is keen on the idea of moving to the Italian capital.

At Roma Fresneda would be the second-choice right-back for the Giallorossi who also plan on adding at least one more defender in that position.

In his brief time at Sporting, Fresneda had been decidedly unlucky between settling in and a shoulder injury which cut his season short.

But he is a prospect whom Roma like very much and plan on discussing more in depth with his agent as the transfer window nears its opening day.
