Roma manager Ivan Juric did his best to stay positive after his side dropped points in their 1-1 draw against last-placed Monza.

The Giallorossi’s scoring struggles continued until midway through the second half when they finally broke through. However, their lead was short-lived, as the hosts equalised in the 70th minute, leaving the capital club to settle for yet another frustrating result.

“My Roma played a great game. Lots of scoring opportunities and we definitely need to put it in,” remarked Juric during his interview on Sky Sport.

“We conceded little, just one chance other than the goal we conceded, I saw a really beautiful Roma and right now it’s going a bit like that. The performance was good, really excellent. I think we all saw the penalty, there’s not much to say.”

“Monza shot three times, it was total domination, we create a lot of chances but we need to score more goals, it’s a shame because today we made very few mistakes,” he added.

“The attitude was right, we didn’t have the feeling that we could concede a goal. Unfortunately, it happens, then we started creating chances again and we did well, in other games I haven’t seen teams put Monza in difficulty in this way, but unfortunately it went like this.”

Finally, “We got 7 points in the league, even if 9 would have been better. The team plays well, we move the ball well and we have a lot of young players to work on. We need to raise everyone’s level but I see good performances.”

“Today we only suffered from long throws to Djuric but I have the impression that we can work very well with this squad.”
