Roma manager Ivan Juric discussed tonight’s result in Bruxelles vs Union Saint-Gilloise in his post-match presser.
“Dovbyk? I would like to play him against Bologna. We know that two games in a row in such a short time are tiring.”
“We risk doing damage, so, considering everything, I think it was the right choice to have him come off the bench.”
“My impression is that the situation changes from game to game,” Juric continued.
“There were games in Verona where we lost, but where I saw good things, in Turin I also saw good things, and today I saw less good things.”
“I mean, at times, yes, I saw moments where we struggled more than we should have. Sometimes I am convinced that they are the right things, but today I saw things that I don’t like.”
“I can’t understand right now why there is this fluctuation. Then you can play well or badly, but there are moments when the intensity drops.”
“Hummels? First, I can say that Cristante played a great game.”
“Second, for me it’s very simple, I personally have to make technical choices. I want to win the game, and I choose men who can selfishly allow us to win the game. I had to choose a player in that position and I chose Cristante.”
