French striker Jean-Philippe Mateta is among the listed options to replace Romelu Lukaku in the Italian capital.

In recent days, the 27-year-old Crystal Palace attacker has been linked with a move to the Giallorossi.

With less than a month to go until the start of Serie A season, Roma are yet to sign a new number 9.

According to Leggo, Mateta was made aware of Roma’s interest in him.

The newspaper claims Mateta has let his agent know that he is open to a change of scenery and that he would be enthusiastic about joining Daniele De Rossi’s Roma.

The Frenchman is coming off an impressive season in the Premier League, with 19 goals to his name and a price tag of around 20 million euros.
