João Costa took to social media to bid farewell to Roma after having completed a permanent transfer to Al-Ettifaq.
The 19 year-old’s stint with the Giallorossi ended after three years on Monday after the club announced he officially joined the Saudi side for a reported €9 million.
“Thank you, Roma. You will always be in my heart,” he wrote briefly on Instagram.
The Brazilian winger, who originally joined the club in 2021, rose through Roma’s youth ranks and made five appearances in Serie A and the Europa League—all of which came last season.
