Primavera winger Joao Costa scored his first senior goal for Roma in last night’s friendly with Al Shabab.

The 18-year-old Brazilian footballer was involved from the start on Wednesday night as Daniele De Rossi decided to put him in his starting formation which resulted in Costa scoring the opening goal in the second half for the Giallorossi.

According to Italian journalist Francesco Balzani for ForzaRoma.info, Costa is set to play a more prominent role in Roma’s remainder of the season.

In fact, Daniele De Rossi could choose to include him as a regular part of his rotations – it is no secret that Roma have been searching for a winger on the market, and if Costa were to impress, the club could choose to rely on him until the end of the season.
