Ex-Liverpool defender Joel Matip is being reportedly offered to Roma.
With Chris Smalling gone, the Giallorossi are in need of an additional defender.
While the club have been holding talks with Mats Hummels’ entourage, Roma have also been approached other free agents.
In addition to the links with a return of Kostas Manolas, Roma are also being linked with Matip, 33 years of age and still without a team after his contract with Liverpool ran out at the end of last season.
According to Il Tempo, Matip is one of the alternatives to Hummels, in case the deal for the German veteran was to collapse.
