Roma had recently entertained of pursuing Jonathan David of Lille.

However, a deal may be too far fetched for the Giallorossi at the moment.

As reported by Il Tempo, David’s demands are deemed too prohibitive for Roma.

Between David’s desired salary and commissions (he also has a contract that ends in 2025) he is out of reach Roma’s financial capabilities at the moment.

Moreover, negotiations with Lille have proven very problematic as several clubs have opened talks for David but withdrew due to the French club’s astronomical demands for the Canadian striker.
