French midfielder Jordan Veretout is rumored to be nearing an exit from the Italian capital in June.
The former Fiorentina man has struggled under coach Jose Mourinho thus far this year to the point that the 28-year-old has fallen in the ranks and ended up on the bench most recently.
Negotiations over a contract extension never took off once the Special One was appointed as manager of the club almost a year ago.
Now, Veretout seems intent on finding his form again elsewhere, reports calciomercato.com.
The midfielder is highly rated by Milan who continue to monitor him. At the same time, Veretout’s dream would be to return to the Premier League after his unsuccessful stint with Aston Villa years ago.
The player is drawing interest from Newcastle United who plan on revolutionizing their midfielder in the summer.
Roma are reportedly open to letting the Frenchman walk for a fee of around €20 million.
