Jordan Veretout in awe of Olimpico atmosphere after Conference League progression

Roma midfielder Jordan Veretout came on in the second half to Roma’s 1-0 win at the Olimpico with Leicester City.

The Frenchman was impressed with the continued support and energy from the crowd present at the stadium.

“It’s fantastic to see a stadium packed like this,” he said when interviewed by the club after the final whistle.

“Tonight we didn’t only win as a team but as a group of 70,000 people.”

“To see the people support the team the way they did tonight is beautiful. We feel support when we step on the pitch.”

“I’ve seen plenty of stadiums in my career, but this… this is impressive.”
