Jordan Veretout is a step away from becoming a new player of Olympique de Marseille after a series of talks between the two clubs reached a positive conclusion on Thursday.
The player landed in France on Friday morning and was greeted by Marseille fans who took a photo with him. He’ll undergo his medical with the club before signing his contract, effectively ending his time in the Italian capital with the Giallorossi after three seasons.
Veretout originally joined the club from Fiorentina in the summer of 2019 from Fiorentina. After two incredibly strong seasons, though, the midfielder saw a significant reduction in his role following the arrival of Jose Mourinho before the start of the 2021/22 campaign.
