Roma boss Jose Mourinho was asked about the team’s vast improvements in their attacking output.

The Giallorossi increased considerably the number of goals scored compared to this time of the year last season.

In his interview with Sky Sport ahead of the match with Servette scheduled for Thursday night, the Special One praised his men for being to incorporate some of his instructions and advice into their way of moving forward on the pitch.

“Roma are the team with the most goals scored in Serie A after completing 10 passes or more while building from the back, perhaps some critics are too distracted and don’t notice certain things.”

“Against Udinese we scored a nice goal with Dybala – there you’re talking about Azmoun, Lukaku and Dybala all connecting at once, all three know how to do certain things.”

“I’m sorry that Azmoun can’t play the Europa League because it’s also a chance to have minutes and learn to play a new role with more assignments in the defensive phase.”

“After the match on Sunday I said that I was happy with the team and those who were available, we weren’t all there but I had more options than I usually do. Since September we have improved a lot compared to last season, in terms of how we controlled the match against Lazio and Udinese. We played to have control over the ball and not to wait for the opponents. Despite its limitations, the team is improving.”
