Jose Mourinho applauds Edoardo Bove’s growth

Roma boss Jose Mourinho paid special praise to Edoardo Bove whose lone goal gave the Giallorossi a precious edge over Bayer Leverkusen.

In his post-match interview with Sky Sport, Mourinho applauded the former Primavera player for the growth and maturity he’s shown over the course of the season.

“Those who are behind Edoardo, his parents and family, deserve all the credit,” said the Portuguese technician.

“He is a very polite boy, with an academic background. He’s a professional, he looks like a 30-year-old.”

“Last year he played 5 minutes, this year 20, then 30, then he became a starter,” added Mourinho.

“He grew up on an emotional level. I did my job, I helped him grow. I don’t know his family personally, but surely his family will be of a high standard.”
