RomaPress – José Mourinho has arrived in the Italian capital for the first time since being unveiled as Roma’s new manager.
‘The Special One’ and his staff touched down via private jet just after 15.30 CET at Ciampino Airport, with several hundred supporters awaiting. The jet was being co-piloted by Roma owner and president Dan Friedkin, who’s been a licensed pilot for almost three decades.
After posing with a Roma scarf and thanking supporters for the warm welcome, Mourinho and his staff were driven directly to the club’s training center, Trigoria, to begin their first day of work with the club.
The 58 year-old is expected to focus heavily on the transfer market this weekend, hoping to finalise deals for the team’s first summer reinforcements. He’ll meet with club executive Tiago Pinto, who’s currently in Milan, throughout the next few days before the team begins their preseason next week.
