José Mourinho disappointed by team’s performance in Bologna draw

Roma manager José Mourinho admitted his side lacked quality in tonight’s 0-0 home draw against Bologna.

The Giallorossi couldn’t find the back of the net against the Rossoblu and lost a big opportunity to solidify their fifth position in the Serie A table.

“There was a major lack of quality in this game,” he told DAZN. “Neither team did everything they needed to do to win.”

“Certainly fatigue played a part given we played last Thursday and we play again this Thursday. However, we’re still a great situation when it comes to our European journey”

“We tried to win tonight and missed some chances, but it’s our responsibility. Even the referee didn’t seem to care about the quality of the game.”

He added, “I tried to add some quality to the team in the second half, but Zalewski and Abraham were a bit off the mark. Ultimately, though, we didn’t do well with our chances.”
