Roma boss Jose Mourinho returns to the team’s touchline in tonight’s showdown with Milan after serving his suspension.

In his pre-match interview with DAZN, Mourinho discussed Romelu Lukaku’s arrival and his motivations for tonight.

“The last time Lukaku played was two months ago and he hasn’t trained with any team in that period of time. He’s not in terrible shape but is not great either,” said Mourinho of his new striker.

“Can he play tonight? Yes because we don’t have many options on the bench. It’s the same thing with Paredes who made himself available from the get-go despite not having played any minutes in pre-season.”

“How did I convince Lukaku to come? I just made him feel that he was very important to me and to us. I know him very well, he needs to feel wanted, loved but it was his choice to come here. Not my influence.”

“I’m glad to be back here tonight. I want to win,” he added.
