Jose Mourinho previews Slavia Praha showdown

Roma manager Jose Mourinho addressed the media ahead of tomorrow night’s Europa League fixture with Slavia Praha.

In his press conference, Mourinho confirmed El Shaarawy’s availability to play from the start.

“El Shaarawy can start in attack tomorrow. We are not Inter, we cannot have a turnover of 5 players during a European match and we also have many injured players, but we are a team that always finds strength in difficult moments.”

“My suspension for Sunday against Inter? I made a bad gesture but the rules must be the same for everyone. I always get the hard end of the stick. I find it a pity that I will not to be there against Inter because I won’t be with my players.”

“Ndicka is fully recovered for tomorrow and will have to play regardless. Smalling, on the other hand, has only played a handful of minutes with us in training.”

“Lukaku will also play. He is very important to us. His return to San Siro? I didn’t know people paid so much attention to this. Many players change jerseys and join their former rivals. The same happened with Calhanoglu.”

“Slavia are a very good team and have a lot of options with regards to the formation they use. It’s an excellent team that deserves respect.”
