Before heading home after Roma’s win over Empoli, Jose Mourinho spoke to Roma TV about the team’s performance and the importance of securing a 2-0 lead in the opening five minutes.
“I prefer to play 90 minutes like we played the first 30 which were perfect, but if you look at the squad and the DNA of our players, we are not capable of doing it for 90 minutes,” said the Special One.
“In the second half we managed well without suffering too much. The most important chance was ours and we could have ended the game in the first half, but we managed well. If I’m not mistaken it’s four home wins in a row,” he said, smiling.
