RomaPress – Roma want to close the deal for Manchester United defender Chris Smalling over the coming hours.
The Giallorossi have been engaged in talks with the Red Devils for the defender throughout the last several months — but today is likely to be the breakthrough day.
Just moments ago, agent Jozo Palac, who has been acting as the intermediary for the operation, arrived at Roma’s training center, Trigoria, to meet with the Roma’s executives regarding the transfer of the defender.
The goal of the parties is to finalise all of the details today so that the 30 year-old can complete a permanent move to the Italian capital, where he impressed on loan last season.
