Juan Jesus expected to miss at least a month

Il Corriere della Sera has reported today that Roma defender Juan Jesus, who was forced off after 10 minutes in the Giallorossi’s 4-0 Coppa Italia victory over Entella, will miss at least one month due to a meniscus injury in his right knee. The “formal” timetable has yet to be announced but Roma’s medical staff expect this to be the minimum amount of time that he’ll be unavailable — the former Inter man will have a consultation at Villa Stuart with Prof. Pier Paolo Mariani in the coming days. Because the only available options at central defender are now Manolas, Fazio and Marcano, Monchi may have no choice but to intervene on the transfer market and bring in a substitute.
