Juan Jesus: “The Mister is doing very well.”

Roma defender Juan Jesus appeared on Roma Radio today. These are his words:

How did you (the team) reach this level so quickly?
The question is mentality. Everyone gives 100% to help the team, if one player comes in or out, our mentality never changes, in football this matters.

Defensively, though, it’s a team concept.
In general: Dzeko gives us a hand, as do the midfielders. For us defenders, this makes it easier as we have less space to cover.

Is it important to believe in the Mister?
Yes, we want to win, the Mister lends us a hand. We enter the pitch always trying to do our best. He tells us what we need to do and we put everything in place. He is doing very well. The starters are doing well as are whoever he puts in as a substitute. This is the mentality we want to have until the end of the season.

Kolarov?
I have a good relationship with him. He’s an expert, he gives me a sense of security. He has played a thousand matches in the Champions League and Premier League. He tells me what to do and I must always listen. We are good, though, he gives me added security, every now and then I tell him “Go attack and back here we will handle things!” He has strength, he bulldozes forward and crosses well. He does very well in attack. He’s got a mean face but a good heart (laughs).
