Juan Jesus not called up for Sassuolo-Roma

John Solano

RomaPress – Brazilian defender Juan Jesus was not called-up for tomorrow’s league match against Sassuolo.

The former Inter man isn’t in the plans of Roma boss Paulo Fonseca and both the club and player would like to find a solution. As has been the case for some time, finding a new club for the defender won’t be easy.

Juan Jesus currently earns €2.5 million (net) per season and it’s unlikely his next club would be willing to pay him that type of salary. His agent, Roberto Calenda, is still sounding out options both in Italy and abroad.

Fiorentina are interested in him, however, they haven’t been able to find an agreement with Roma on a valuation. Flamengo were also interested in the Brazilian in the summer, but they failed to find a contractual agreement with him.

With only hours remaining, Calenda is hard at work to find a new home for his client.
