Juan Jesus tests positive for COVID

Roma defender Juan Jesus has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Brazilian was informed of the diagnosis today after his latest swab. Thankfully, though, he was already in isolation when he learned of his positive test.

The ex-Inter man has been in quarantine for the previous four days after he came into close contact with an infected individual.

At the moment, no other players from Roma have tested positive for the virus. The team will carry-out additional swabs today and tomorrow before their Europa League match against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Juan Jesus will obviously not feature in tomorrow’s affair, but his presence is unlikely to be felt by manager Paulo Fonseca. The 29 year-old has appeared only four times in all competitions this season for the Giallorossi.
