It’s no secret that Roma will look to move defender Juan Jesus at all costs this summer.
The Brazilian has featured only three times in the league this season under Paulo Fonseca and is arguably the fifth choice central defender for the Portuguese manager.
However, the Giallorossi will do everything they can to rid themselves of the defender this summer due to his exorbitant wages, which weigh heavily on the club’s budget.
Juan Jesus earns €2.2 million (net) per season and has, at times, drawn the ire of supporters, who believe he is simply remaining at the club to continue to collect a paycheck.
The ex-Inter man didn’t do much today, though, to dispel those rumors when he responded to a Roma supporter, who asked him to leave the club, on Instagram.
“So according to you, my 4 quid would fix the budget? Did you miss math lessons?”, he said.
The comment caused a stir among Roma supporters on social media.
