Justin Kluivert: “I have a lot of love for Roma.”

Bournemouth attacker and former Roma man Justin Kluivert looked back on his spell in the Italian capital.

In a recent interview with Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Kluivert discussed playing in Italy as opposed to playing in England’s top flight with the Cherries after several loan moves between Germany, France and Spain.

“Now after many loans I have signed a contract with Bournemouth and I like this. I will enjoy the next few years here,” said the Dutch winger who made 68 appearances for Roma between 2018 and 2023.

“I learned a lot in Italy and I have a lot of love for Roma,” he added. “They were two wonderful years that I enjoyed a lot. Going from the Ajax school to Roma I can say that I learned a lot in the capital and I will always be grateful to Roma.”

“For me, Serie A is a great league. Having played in it, I can say that it is also very difficult, very tough. We play different football, not necessarily too defensive but the teams certainly take few risks.”
