Roma loanee Justin Kluivert – currently playing for Valencia in La Liga – recently discussed his uncertain future as he looks to part ways with Roma on a permanent basis in the upcoming summer window after being excluded from the club’s plans earlier on in Mourinho’s tenure.

“I do not recommend going on loan to anyone,” Kluivert said in an interview with Ziggo Sport.

“I would like to play in a team for 2 or 3 years. I’m still under contract with Roma but I think it’s a closed chapter for me, they know it too.”

“We have a good relationship. One can never be certain, but it would be crazy for me to come back after all these loans. I’ve accepted this and feel better about it.”

“In hindsight, looking back on it now, one could come to the conclusion that I left Ajax too soon,” he added, recalling his transfer to Roma in 2018.

“I honestly think I would have done things differently now. But in life you make choices and you have to live with them.”
