Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli discussed the Bianconeri’s objectives for the season.
In a lengthy interview with La Repubblica, Giuntoli reassessed Juve’s situation in a season that sees Massimiliano Allegri’s squad not feature in any European competition following their exclusion from the Conference League.
According to Giuntoli, Juve fans must realign their expectations.
“We have a defined a very clear program with the objective of returning to the Champions League,” he said.
“We need to showcase our young talents so that they can face the best players in Europe,” Giuntoli added.
“Therefore, since our objective is to return to the Champions League, our rivals are Atalanta, Fiorentina, Lazio and Roma. Then there are Napoli, Milan and Inter who are ahead of us, because their project started much earlier.”
