Juventus have reportedly began their pursuit of Roma defender Chris Smalling.
As the Englishman’s future looms uncertain given his status as free agent in the summer, the Bianconeri have made inquiries with Smalling’s entourage ahead of the summer window.
Roma want to keep Smalling and are engaged in talks with his agent, but an agreement has not been found so far – there is still a gap between the club’s long-term offer and the player’s demands for his last big contract.
In the meantime, Tuttosport reports that Juventus remain vigilant and will do whatever it takes to sign Smalling in free agency.
